A purveyor of bespoke leather shoes serving the well-heeled of London's Victorian aristocrats, Lobb took his success abroad and opened a shop in Paris in 1902.
The Hermes Group acquired the French side of business in 1976 and began producing a ready-to-wear line. This has expanded the luxury shoes brand to a global audience, whilst the Lobb family still work out of James Street with the bespoke custom.
