Founded by Stone Island owner Carlo Rivetti in 2009 and designed since its very inception by Acrnoym’s Errolson Hugh, Shadow Project is an independent shadow of the main brand, Stone Island. Stone Island Shadow Project has long been associated with a forward-looking approach to textiles, and this parka exemplifies why. It’s made using a rubberized fabric — a technique inspired by the parent label’s archives — that’s padded with PrimaLoft® to make it lightweight, water-resistant, and warm, too. Velcro patches feature at the chest — a newly developed pass-through feature to allow lighter products from the collection to be attached to it — and, of course, a tonal compass is used at one arm.
This garment has been produced using piece-dyeing methods. As a result, the color may fade with wear, and dye transfer onto lighter clothing may occur.
